The Digisight Ultra LRF is fitted with a high sensitivity monochrome HD 1280×720 Near Infrared (NIR) Optimised sensor, that is capable of imaging visible light and longer wavelength infrared.

As dusk sets in, though it may look dark to our eyes, the Earth is bathed in infrared emitted by the Sun. This infrared is bent towards the earth by our atmosphere, and as the Sun continues to move below the horizon, the wavelength of this infrared becomes longer until it disappears altogether.clear image in very low lighting, such as one hour after dusk and 1/4 moonlight without the need to use additional IR lighting.

In extreme darkness, such as starlight, the Digisight Ultra LRF has a quick-detachable 940nm ‘stealth’ IR illuminator that, due to the outstanding sensitivity, produces a bright, clear image with no visible source.

An integral laser rangefinder provides accurate distance information that when used in conjunction with the Digisight’s multiple distance settings can deliver pinpoint shot placement. This is ideal for shooting at long distance and at small targets with subsonic ammunition.

The Digisight Ultra is supplied with a Weaver style mount. Other mounts, such as Dovetail are available.
